Reading the Sources panel

How the Sources panel is laid out, what each column means, and how to filter for the most actionable insights.

The Sources panel collects every domain and URL that AI models reference when answering about your brand. It’s the most action-ready surface in BrandAxis. See Mentions and sources for the difference between the two concepts.

Panel layout

  • Domains tab — aggregated view, grouped by site (e.g. wired.com)
  • URLs tab — every individual page referenced
  • Categories tab — sources grouped by source category

Each row shows:

SourceThe domain or URL
MentionedA Mentioned tag if your brand appeared in any chat that surfaced this source. Unmarked rows are sources the AI used without naming you — your highest-leverage outreach targets. See Mentions and sources for the full strategy.
MentionsHow many Mentions of your brand were paired with this source
ModelsWhich AI models surfaced it
SentimentAverage sentiment of the Mentions tied to this source
Last seenMost recent date this source appeared

Filters that matter

  • By model — see which sources feed which assistants
  • By date range — spot sources that have stopped showing up
  • By sentiment — surface negative-sentiment sources to address
