When an AI assistant lists several brands in an answer, order matters. Users read top-down. A brand mentioned first gets more attention than one mentioned eighth. Rank captures this.
What Rank measures
For each AI response that mentions multiple brands, we record the order they appeared. Your Rank is your position in the list.
- Rank 1 — you were mentioned first
- Rank 5 — four brands were mentioned before you
- N/A — your brand wasn’t mentioned in that response at all
How it rolls up
The dashboard reports your average Rank across all mentions in the selected period. Lower is better — a Rank of 1.4 means you’re usually first or second when mentioned.
Why this matters
Two brands can have identical Visibility scores but very different Ranks. The one with better Rank gets disproportionately more user attention. Track both.
